My second day into covering Mercedes-Benz Los Angeles Fashion Week and I had a wardrobe dilemma. To attend the shows, I want to look professional, but funky. If I could afford it, I would probably wear a Dolce&Gabbana or Marc Jacobs suit and tie for every day of the shows -- alas, I cannot. But today, Los Angeles was over 80 degrees, and I knew this would not be a suit-and-tie day.

I decided to bust out my Limited Edition Marc Jacobs T-shirt with Victoria Beckham naked on the front, which I had never worn. I knew it might be a bit “scandalous” but I was prepared for that. I paired it with dark skinny jeans and black vest. Without missing a beat, however, my partner David -- dressed very elegantly -- turned to me and exclaimed (alarmingly), “Is that what you’re going to wear?” I reluctantly answered “Yes” and the topic was dropped. Once we arrived at the Tents, my t-shirt did stir some photographers to stop and do a double-take but nonetheless, I was comfortable and feeling cool, even if I was questionably dressed “too casual” for an event such as the Smashbox shows.
