Parsons Workroom brought back a lot of memories--both good and bad-- but because of the nature of this particular Bravo A-List Challenge, I was there to have a really good time. Reuniting with some of my favorite designers for this
Project Runway "All-Stars" Design Challenge was a great opportunity for us to catch up, reminisce and gossip.
We were not in the actual
Project Runway workroom, only because it looked like a "war zone" from the painting and set up the crew was doing in preparation for the new fifth Season of the show. But as soon as
Tim Gunn walked in, it really did begin to feel as if we were back on the show--sans
Michael, Nina and Heidi. I'm sure
Heidi Klum was enjoying the Malibu sun with her husband and kids as opposed to having to be back at Parsons just yet!
I had to capture a snapshot of
my fashion Hip-Hop God, Mr. Mychael Knight, while we were in the workroom. The lime green polo shirt, the lilac and yellow "Madras" shorts, the matching sneakers: This is what I want to see when I wake up in the morning and have to make a gown out of scratch!
Mychael was my cup of java. I asked him what he was "giving" in terms of fashion. Without batting an eyelash, he quipped
"Party at the Hamptons meets Hip Hop". You go Boy!
